The Stuff You Need

These settings define how text-based charts are laid out on the virtual page, which honestly probably looks way better than whatever you printed at home.

Tint (AKA: Make It Pretty)

The tint is used as a translucent overlay to otherwise black & white text. This can be used to tint colors for those with visual stress disorders to improve reading or to reduce eye strain. Basically, we're givin' your eyeballs a break. You're welcome.

Dark Color (The Spooky One)

This color will be blended with any black "ink" on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent, which means we're not gonna assume you have weird color preferences.

Light Color (The Bright One)

This color will be blended with any white color on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent, because we're not monsters.

Low Light Mode (Nighttime Vibes)

Determines if low light mode is enabled on the document. Default is off, but turn it on & your eyes might actually thank you for once.

Font (Pick Your Fancy Letters)

This is the default font to use for new charts. You know, so they don't look like a ransom note.

Font Family (The Lineup)

You can select between common font styles including: Serif, Sans-Serif, Monospaced & Handwritten which on most devices translates to Georgia, Helvetica (Default), Courier, & Marker Felt. Live your best typographic life.

Line Spacing (Breathin' Room)

This allows you to adjust the distance between lines of text. The range that can be selected is 0.7 to 1.3. Default is 1.0. More space = fancier. Science.

Layout (How We Stack Your Stuff)

This section determines how text is arranged on the page. Options include:

Pagination (One Page or Infinity?)

This determines if text-based documents should be broken into the physical paper size or expand to be on a single, scrollable page. Options include: Single Page (default, because we're lazy) & Multiple Pages (for the overachievers).

Columns (Split Your World)

This setting allows you to determine the default number of columns. Choose between 1 (Default, nice & simple) & 2 columns (fancy).

Gutter (The Space Between)

This is the width of the whitespace to place between columns when there is more than one. Default is 1/2" & options include measurements from None to 1" in 1/8" increments. Yes, we made this stupidly granular. You're welcome.

Paper (Your Virtual Canvas)

This section defines the default sheet of virtual paper used to determine the size of elements as well as printing. Options include:

Paper Size (How Big Your Dreams?)

This lets you choose the size of the paper to draw the chart. Options include:

  • Letter - 8.5" x 11" (Default, America's favorite rectangle)
  • Folio - 8.5" x 13" (Taller. More impressive.)
  • Legal - 8.5" x 14" (When Letter isn't extra enough)
  • Tabloid - 11" x 17" (For people who REALLY want attention)
  • A5 - 148mm x 210mm (International smol)
  • A4 - 210mm x 297mm (International default & totally the better choice, don't @ us)
  • A3 - 297mm x 420mm (International YEET)
  • A2 - 420mm x 594mm (International "why are you like this?")

Paper Orientation (Portrait or Landscape?)

This is the orientation of the paper used to render the song. Options include: Portrait (Default, tall & skinny) or Landscape (thicc & wide).

Margins (Leave Room for Tears)

This lets you choose the default margins for the paper. This is between 0" & 1-1/2" in 1/8" or 1/4" increments. Default is 3/4". Basically, how much whitespace do you need before you feel fancy?

This sections dictates how the footer of the song appears by default. Because apparently footers matter to someone.

This slider allows you to determine the relative font size of the footer compared to the lyric size of the chart. This can be between 0-100%. Default is 75%. Make it huge if you're feelin' bold.

This switch determines if the footer is outputted. On = everybody sees your footer. Off = footer mystery.

Include Page Numbers (The Nerdy Thing)

This determines if page numbers are outputted in the footer. For people who actually know what page they're on.

Text (Say Something Nice Down There)

This allow you to add additional text to the footer. Shout-outs welcome. Your manifesto? Less welcome.
