The Stuff You Printed Out
These settings define how text-based charts are laid out on the virtual page. (AKA: Make your song charts look less like a bleepin' mess.)
Tint
The tint is used as a translucent overlay to otherwise black & white text. Basically, it's for peeps with visual stress disorders who need their lyrics to stop makin' their eyeballs hurt. You're welcome.
Dark Color
This color gets blended with any black "ink" on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent (i.e., we did nothin').
Light Color
This color gets blended with any white color on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent (see above — still nothin').
Low Light Mode
Turns on low light mode for the document if you're readin' in the dark like a vampire. Default is off (because apparently you like squintin').
Font
This is the default font for new charts. Pick one & stop worryin' about it.
Font Family
You can pick between fancy font styles: Serif, Sans-Serif, Monospaced & Handwritten — which on most devices means Georgia, Helvetica (Default), Courier & Marker Felt. Totes life-changin'.
Line Spacing
Adjust the distance between lines of text so it doesn't all smoosh together like a sad sandwich. Range is 0.7 to 1.3. Default is 1.0 (the "meh" zone).
Layout
This section determines how your text gets arranged on the page. Options include:
Pagination
Wanna break your lyrics into actual pages or just scroll forever like a maniac? Options: Single Page (default) & Multiple Pages.
Columns
How many columns do you want? Pick between 1 (Default) & 2. Mind-blowin' stuff here, y'all.
Gutter
The whitespace width between columns when you're feelin' fancy & got more than one. Default is 1/2" & options range from None to 1" in 1/8" increments. RIVETING.
Paper
This section defines the default virtual paper to determine element size & printin'. Options include:
Paper Size
Pick your paper size like you're choosin' a breakfast cereal:
- Letter - 8.5" x 11" (Default)
- Folio - 8.5" x 13"
- Legal - 8.5" x 14"
- Tabloid - 11" x 17"
- A5 - 148mm x 210mm
- A4 - 210mm x 297mm
- A3 - 297mm x 420mm
- A2 - 420mm x 594mm
Paper Orientation
Portrait (Default) or Landscape. Revolutionary.
Margins
Pick your default margins between 0" & 1-1/2" in 1/8" or 1/4" increments. Default is 3/4". Congratulations on this momentous decision.
Footer
How your song's footer looks by default. Thrilling.
Footer Size
This slider determines the relative font size of the footer compared to the lyric size. 0–100%. Default is 75%. (We picked it so you don't have to.)
Display Footer
Turn the footer on or off. You're welcome for this incredible power.
Include Page Numbers
Wanna see page numbers in the footer? (Spoiler: most peeps do.)
Text
Add whatever extra text you want to the footer. Go wild. We dare you.
