Arrr, when ye be importin' PDF or word processin' files, OnSong can only be displayin' those files "as-is", savvy? When ye open th' Style Preferences Menu, th' controls will be disabled and ye'll have one o' th' followin' options, matey.

Extract and Edit

If ye be viewin' a file that be bein' viewed "as-is" and cannot be formatted or transposed, ye'll see a screen like shown with th' option t' Extract and Edit. Tappin' on this button will open th' Song Editor and automatically extract text from th' document, Blimey!

Enable Transposition

If ye be viewin' a PDF file, th' Chords tab shows Transpose PDF Files instead, savvy? Tap Enable Transposition and OnSong looks fer chords in th' PDF and detects its key so ye can transpose it on-device. If OnSong can't find enough chords, No Key Detected appears, Arrr! Tap Use Text Version t' switch t' th' text-based chord chart if th' song has one, or Convert To Text t' open th' Song Editor and extract th' text.

Use Text Version

If ye be currently viewin' an imported file, but ye have text content available, this button will appear allowin' ye t' toggle t' th' text-based chord chart. If ye need t' be makin' changes t' th' text version, use th' Song Editor

If ye be viewin' SongSelect PDF chord charts, ye may still be able t' transpose th' song usin' th' Key and Capo controls, matey.
