The Aux Shenanigans

The AuxDock™ is a performance surface that slides up from the bottom of the screen and turns your device into a live music rig. Shred Station, a Tickle The Ivories, a Chord Barf Machine, Chill Vibes Looper, a Beat Box o' Doom, Voice Wizard, The Blender 3000, and more all live here so you can tweak your tone without losin' your mind (or your place). ZOMG, every change you make gets saved with the song you're on so there's no more fiddlin' with a million knobs & buttons between songs. Bless up.

Unlock The Magic Box

The AuxDock is unlocked by the OnSong® AuxBox — the audio interface that somehow integrates all your gear on stage (we're still not 100% sure how). Plug in an AuxBox & the AuxDock appears in your Toys Chest from then on. Just open the Add-Ons Buffet from the Top Menu Bar Thing, choose the Widgets tab, & toggle the AuxDock option that appears.

The AuxDock will automatically open when you connect your AuxBox. You can change this in the AuxDock Doodad by togglein' the Open When Connected option.

Handle Bar

The top of the AuxDock is called the handle bar. It's got a minimize button, a grabber handle, & an options button. Thrilling stuff.

Minimize Button

The left most button is used to minimize the dock. Tap it to drop the dock down until only the handle bar appears. Tap on the handle bar to bring the AuxDock back into view. Riveting.

Grabber Bar

In the middle of the handle bar is the grabber bar. Drag anywhere on the dock to shrink or expand the AuxDock by removin' or addin' panels. Your fingers were made for this.

Options Button

On the right side of the handle bar is the options button. Tap to open the AuxDock Menu where you can control what appears in the AuxDock & how it looks.

To close the AuxDock completely, use the Close button in the menu or toggle the AuxDock on & off in the Toys Chest.

Slots

Tabs are a saved arrangement of the dock that include which panels are showin', in what order, & the tone that goes with them. Switchin' tabs shows different sets of panels so that "I'm playin' guitar this song" & "I'm coverin' keys on the next one" are one tap away. Life-changin', we know.

The default AuxDock starts you with eight tabs, each built around a gig: Guitar Shred, Keyboard Ticklin', Ambient Snooze, Chord Explosion, Vocal Magic, Rhythm Machine, Multitrack Madness & The Mixer. You can rename them, recolor them, add your own, & delete the ones you never use usin' the Tabs Panel.

Thingies

Panels are the horizontal band inside the dock. Tabs can combine these to create more interestin' features. For instance, the Keyboard Ticklin' tab is comprised of both a Tone Pad & a Keyboard that work together (it's like they're best friends). A tab can show one panel or several stacked together, & each panel can be switched on & off independently from the panels section of the AuxDock doodad.

Panels always stack in the same order no matter which ones you switch on, so the dock never rearranges itself under your fingers. Use the Rearrange… option in the menu if you'd like a different order & feel like livin' dangerously.
