Yo, How U Want It Lookin'?
These settings define how text-based charts are laid out on the virtual page. (AKA: we're gonna make your lyrics look fancy.)
Tint
The tint is used as a translucent overlay to otherwise black & white text. Basically, if your eyeballs are drama queens & regular text makes 'em cry, we got you. Tint it up & read like it's 2025.
Dark Color
This color will be blended with any black "ink" on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent (aka: boring).
Light Color
This color will be blended with any white color on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent (aka: still boring).
Low Light Mode
Determines if low light mode is enabled on the document. Y'know, for when you're tryna read lyrics at 3am & don't wanna go full vampire mode. Default is off.
Font
This is the default font to use for new charts. Pick your poison: Sans-Serif (the basic), Serif (fancy pants), Handwritten (looks like your drunk uncle), or Monospaced (computer nerds only). They map to system or app fonts such as Helvetica, Georgia, Marker Felt, or Courier. Riveting.
Line Spacing
This allows you to adjust the distance between lines of text so they're not all smooshed together like sardines. The range is 0.7 to 1.3. Default is 1.0 (aka: totally fine, stop obsessing).
Layout
This section determines how text is arranged on the page. Options include:
Pagination
This determines if text-based documents should be broken into the physical paper size or expand to be on a single, scrollable page. Single Page (default) = less scrolling. Multiple Pages = paper goes brrrrr.
Columns
This setting allows you to determine the default number of columns. Choose between 1 (Default) & 2 columns. Wanna look smart? Two columns, fam.
Gutter
This is the width of the whitespace to place between columns when there's more than one. Default is 1/2" & options include measurements from None to 1" in 1/8" increments. Thrilling stuff.
Paper
This section defines the default sheet of virtual paper used to determine the size of elements & printing. Basically: pick a size & chill.
Paper Size
This lets you choose the size of the paper to draw the chart. Options include: Letter (8.5" x 11"), Folio (8.5" x 13"), Legal (8.5" x 14"), Tabloid (11" x 17"), A5 (148mm x 210mm), A4 (210mm x 297mm), A3 (297mm x 420mm), or A2 (420mm x 594mm). Default is Letter. (Most of y'all will never change this, but hey, we gave you options!)
Paper Orientation
This is the orientation of the paper used to render the song. Portrait (Default) = tall & awkward. Landscape = chill & wide.
Margins
This lets you choose the default margins for the paper. This is between 0" & 1-1/2" in 1/8" or 1/4" increments. Default is 3/4". (Aka: reasonable white space so your eyeballs don't suffer.)
Footer
This section dictates how the footer of the song appears by default. AKA: the boring stuff at the bottom nobody reads.
Footer Size
This slider allows you to determine the relative font size of the footer compared to the lyric size of the chart. This can be between 0-100%. Default is 75%. (Make it tiny, make it huge, we don't judge.)
Display Footer
This switch determines if the footer is outputted. Wanna hide it? Go forth & hide.
Include Page Numbers
This determines if page numbers are outputted in the footer. Because apparently some of y'all need to know which page you're on. Wild.
Text
This allow you to add additional text to the footer. Go crazy. Add your name. Add a quote. Add a cry for help. We won't judge.
