Doin' It Your Way™

When you're blastin' through OnSong live, ain't nobody got time for tappy-tap nonsense on the screen. These actions let your foot pedals & external gizmos do the heavy liftin'.

Spooky Dark Mode

Go full goth on a dimly lit stage 'cause apparently stage lights are just a suggestion.

• On cranks up dark mode—pitch black background, blinding white text. Real aesthetic. Very professional.
• Off switches back to normal mode—light background, dark text. Boring but readable.
• Toggle flips dark mode on & off like you're possessed. When it's on, boom—black background, white foreground. Spooky szn.

Menu Thingamajig

The menubar lets you poke around the app, but it's also lowkey in the way when you're actually tryin' to perform.

• Show brings up the menubar so you can interact with stuff.
• Hide yeets the menubar offscreen for maximum performance vibes.
• Toggle switches the menubar on & off for that full-screen flex.

Quick Grab

Wanna find a song ASAP without scrollin' through your entire bleepin' library? This is your bestie. Heads up tho: if you're usin' HID Bluetooth foot pedals that pretend to be a keyboard, hidin' this might not work. Blame the text cursor. We don't make the rules.

• Show opens the Quick Grab screen so you can speedrun findin' & loadin' songs.
• Hide closes the Quick Grab screen.
• Toggle shows & hides the Quick Grab screen like magic.

Navigation

Use these to zoom around menus without losin' your mind. OnSong will auto-assign some of these to your foot pedal buttons when a song menu pops up. How thoughtful.

• Previous jumps to the song above in the list. Revolutionary.
• Next jumps to the song below. Groundbreakin' stuff.
• Top rockets you to the top of whatever menu you're in. WHOOSH.
• Bottom sends you to the bottom. Gravity works.
• Back takes you to the previous menu screen. Like the back button on your browser, but you already knew that. Check out your All Songs list, & Back will dump you back at Books List. Magical.
• Search scrolls to the search bar, highlights your search term, & pops up the keyboard. If there's no search bar, nothin' happens. Shrug emoji.
• Select picks whatever's currently highlighted & performs the action immediately. No waitin' around.

By default, items just get highlighted—they don't actually select until some time passes. Wanna pick stuff NOW? Use the Select action to make it happen. Or, y'know, customize this under Settings » Menu Settings » Songs » Navigation » Automatically Select. We buried it deep so you'd really earn it.

Song Roller

Your song library, set, & book all live here. When you open it, use Scroll Up & Down to jump between rows like you're actually tryin'.

• Show brings up the song menu. Boom.
• Hide makes it vanish. Poof.
• Toggle shows & hides the song menu dependin' on whether it's already there or not. Rocket science, really.

Web Action

Wanna open a URL or video file as an action in your song? Say you've got a sticky note that triggers a tutorial video for that gnarly bridge section. This is that feature.

• Open launches the Web Action Editor so you can configure how that URL will open. Have fun.
• Close shuts down the opened web action. Finito.
