Steal Files from Dropbox (The Legal Way™)

It's totes easy to yoink your song files from Dropbox. Dropbox is basically the path of least resistance for makin', tweakin', & stashin' your files on a computer, then pullin' 'em up on your phone or whatever other device you're carryin' around. Just hit the Dropbox option in the Add Tunes screen & start diggin' through your Dropbox like you're searchin' for that one meme from 2015.

Let's Get Hitched

First time's always awkward, amirite? You gotta give OnSong the green light to peek at your Dropbox the first time you try to access it. Don't worry—it opens a web-based login screen right inside OnSong like a lil' popup party. Once your account's linked up, you can use Dropbox without signin' in again… unless it mysteriously unlinks itself because technology is super reliable. 🙃

You can always peace out of Dropbox whenever you want by tappin' the sign-out button hangin' out at the bottom of the screen.

Diggin' Through Your Junk

Once you're logged in, your entire Dropbox is yours to explore, baby. Tap folders to burrow deeper & find more files. It's like a treasure hunt, except the treasure is probably just your tax returns.

Hunt Mode

Tap the search bar up top to hunt through whatever files & folders are visible by their names. Start typin' to see stuff that starts with what you typed, or tap the "Search" button on your keyboard to find files & folders that contain your search words. Technology!

Pickin' & Choosin'

Tap files to check or uncheck 'em for import. You can also spam the Select All & Deselect All buttons at the bottom to just, like, grab everything (or nothing) in the folder you're lookin' at right now. Plot twist: if you accidentally pick a backup file, OnSong will be like "uh, importin' this will nuke your whole library—u sure bro?" If you say yes anyway, OnSong imports just that backup & restores your library from it. Neat, huh?

Let's Go!

Once you've got some files checked, tap the Import button in the upper right corner to kick off the whole process. Fun fact: if you picked a file that's already in there, OnSong's gonna ask you to pick what to do with the copycat. While it's importing, watch the percentage climb in the upper right corner like a slow-motion progress bar fever dream. When it's finally done, you zoom back to the All Tunes screen.

The Sortin' Hat

Wanna make pickin' files less of a nightmare? Change how the files & folders are sorted! Tap the sort button down in the lower left corner & feast your eyes on these thrilling options:

• Name — sorts files & folders by their name in A-to-Z order like a nerd.
• Size — shoves the chunky files to the top because bigger is apparently better.
• Modified — puts the stuff you touched most recently at the top so you can find your latest disasters first.

Pro tip: tap the same sort option twice & it'll flip the whole thing upside down. Mind = blown.

Bail Out

Oops, signed into the wrong Dropbox? Or maybe you're gettin' paranoid about security? No judgment. Tap the door icon in the lower right corner & OnSong will cut ties with Dropbox & send you back to the Add Tunes screen. It's like a digital breakup, but faster & less awkward.
