The Bleepin' Toolkit Menu (aka "Please Don't Break Your Library")

The tools menu is basically your OnSong library's life support system. It's full of functions that'll help keep your collection from imploding. Buckle up, peeps—this menu's got OPTIONS:

Bluetooth MIDI

Your Bluetooth MIDI connections keep ghostin' you? Reconnect 'em faster than you can say "why did my pedal die mid-show."

Reconnect Pedals

Foot pedals actin' weird? This function kills & revives the whole pedal system. Try it when your pedalboard decides to take an unscheduled vacation. (Happens, amirite.)

Reset Settings

NUKE YOUR PREFERENCES. This will torch every single setting you've tweaked & send you back to factory defaults—like you just unboxed OnSong for the first time. Your library? Safe. Your sanity? TBD. All those UI popups you thought you'd ditched? LOL they're back, bestie.

Remove Duplicates

OnSong's gonna dig through your library like a bloodhound & yeet all those duplicate songs you somehow accumulated. Finds 'em by title & byline, keeps the newest copy, & ditches the rest. Spring cleanin', but make it digital.

Undelete Songs

Plot twist: deleted songs in OnSong don't actually disappear. They just hang out in the shadows waitin' for you to realize your mistake. Use this to bring 'em back from the dead. You're welcome.

Cleanup Library

This function is basically your library's shower—it'll get all the grime out. Deletes the stuff you marked for death, nukes those imported files you don't need anymore, reindexes everything, & makes your library run smooth as butter. It'll even ask if you wanna yeet converted text files. (Spoiler: you probably do.)

Fix Library

Uh oh—your library went kaboom? Happens when OnSong shuts down mid-database-meltdown. This function checks if your library's got issues (spoiler alert: probably), then gives you the chance to patch 'em up. Crisis averted. Menu closed. Chef's kiss.

Upgrade Library

Every time OnSong drops a new version, the database gets tweaked. It usually auto-upgrades, but if you're feelin' hands-on, run this manually & pretend you know what you're doin'.

Delete Library

NUCLEAR OPTION. This nukes your entire library & resets to the blank slate. BUT WAIT—OnSong's got your back & makes a backup just in case you panic-clicked. You can restore it by importing that backup from iTunes file sharing. Disaster averted (barely).
