Read The Bleepin’ Manual
The Robot Hand Turning Pages (& You Can't Stop It)
The bleepin' autoscroll live bar button is basically your on/off switch for autoscroll. It's like cruise control for your song — except OnSong actually does it without crashin' into a tree. Pick linear or non-linear autoscrollin' dependin' on whether you're feelin' predictable or chaotic.
Tap the autoscroll button for the first time & BOOM — you get the Autoscroll Whatevs. Use it to set how long you want linear autoscroll to take, or record a bunch of timeline events if you're into that non-linear shizzle.
Flip Autoscroll On & Off
Once you've set autoscroll up (congrats, you made it this far), tap the button to start it rollin'. Tap it again when it's runnin' to kill it. Wanna bring it back? Tap again. Hold down on the autoscroll button if you're feelin' fancy & need to tweak stuff in the Autoscroll Whatevs.
Linear Autoscroll (The Boring Way)
Set a duration & stay on that tab, & OnSong will scroll your page from top to bottom like a well-oiled machine. When autoscroll is runnin', you can still scroll manually — it'll pause, then pick back up from wherever you dragged it. Zoom your chord chart? Autoscroll freaks out & recalibrates itself like a nervous breakdown. Real smooth.
Here's the thing tho: autoscroll scrolls straight down, so it's gonna struggle with key changes or sections that repeat (u know, like actual songs). You're gonna wanna use Flow to arrange your tune into one continuous blob so autoscroll doesn't have an existential crisis.
Non-Linear Autoscroll (The Fancy Way)
Record a bunch of timeline events & OnSong will play 'em back over whatever duration you set. Change the duration later? The timeline adjusts itself automatically. Srsly, it's like magic, except it's code.
You can keep scrollin' & doin' whatever you want on the page, but those timeline events will keep firin' off no matter what. It's like they don't even care about you.
